Game it out – international training course about educational game designing

Do you want to learn how to start being a game designer by applying the principles of game design to board games dedicated to youth work? Would you like to learn how to work with others for inventing a new game? Do you have some ultra smart mechanics but need to figure out the perfect theme?  Are you stuck trying to figure out where designers get their ideas from?

Join our training and we’re going to help you communicate your game design into an excellent player experience for better cooperation in Europe!


The project is a 8 days residential training course aimed at exploring board games desing and their direct application in educational activities.

This is a hands on training By the end of the course, you will have an actual game that you made with team by your hands . You won’t just learn HOW to make a game you’ll actually MAKE the game you want to create.

You will learn WHY desining a games for youth work and HOW you can use them to empower youngsters No game, even Catan or Carcassone, was created alone. Every game designer has help, whether it’s from players, publishers, or other game designers.

Nobody designs alone. You will learn how to cooperate with other designers and use feedback.

GameJame will be an important part of the course. Participants in groups will create a game prototype. Mentors – experienced game designers – will help them in this task.

Joanna Rezmer (Pracownia Gier Szkoleniowych) – a game designer and coordinator of the R&D department of Pracownia Gier Szkoleniowych. Designing training, simulation and edu-games is a perfect mix of her two passions – education and games. He designs an unique games for both business and education sector. In portfolio of her team, you could find games related to employer branding, going through change, shaping pro-ecological habits, creativity, prevention of behavioral addictions, scouting method. She is the co-author of the awarded games: autoKOREKTA (Game with the Most Significant Scope in the International Business Learning Games 2016 competition) and The Tree of Life (MP Power Produkt 2016).

Wojciech Rzadek ( – Game Master, Game Designer, Product Manager, Trainer. A member of the creative group Lans Macabre. For over 20 years he has been dealing with all types of interactive entertainment: RPGs, board games, LARPs, field and simulation games. He is the author of plenty board games present on the games market and developer of over 50 titles – including our games for volunteers. He has a great experience as a trainer of The Laboratory of Games, which we are inspired by.
